Studio is now open for lunch on both Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, from 12.00 til 15.00.

BEER, WINE, MUST AND NORDIC COCKTAILS

You are also welcome to just stop by for a coffee, a beer, ice cold summer must or why not a glass of sparkling wine made by apples harvested from our trees on Lilleø.

DINNER & JAZZ

Enjoy a tantalizing dinner in one of our three restaurants either before or after the concert. Sample our modern Danish cuisine in Almanak, our succulent and surprising flavors in Studio or get an authentic taste of India in Verandah. The tickets are valid for entrance into the concert of the evening, and a reservation will be placed in the chosen restaurant at the desired time. The concert lasts for 75 minutes.

ABOUT THE STANDARD

Our name pays tribute to the history of our Art Deco building which Danish architect and Royal Building Inspector Kristoffer Nyrop Varming designed in 1937 in the midst of the golden age of timeless “standards” composed by George Gershwin, Cole Porter and the likes.

The architect’s great grandson Søren Varming designed our logos. And that is just one of many examples of how The Standard will be offering new wine in old bottles, from contemporary cutting-edge cuisine that respects the tradition but isn’t afraid of boldly reinventing it, to top echelon jazz music that courageously mixes the known with the unknown, the old with the new.

We reside beautifully on Gammelholm in the City of Copenhagen, surrounded by the inner harbor, the Slotsholm Canal, the Holmen Canal and Nyhavn. In the summer we offer 60 meters covered terrace with three meters to the harbor.

AN EVENING AT THE STANDARD

At The Standard you can attend a concert without first visiting the bars or restaurants or you can start with a dinner, eventually preceded by an aperitif at one of the bars. You can have lunch, dinner or visit our bars, without attending our concerts.
