Switching on The Christmas Tree, November 13 – It’s Free and You Are Invited

Christmas is coming up. At The Standard we have, therefore, prepared for Christmas for several weeks. Our chefs have been experimenting with Christmas menus and delights, and we have picked out a perfect Christmas tree to decorate.

We are looking forward to presenting both three and Christmas delights for you on Wednesday, November 13, when we invite everyone from near and far to our annual Christmas tree partying at The Standard. We decorate the house and offer Danish Christmas cake and ‘gløgg’ at Almanak, while we tempt you with the taste of Italian childhood memories at Mission, where Carmine La Farciola cooks her grandmother’s Crispelle with mozeralla – a small deliciousness that fits perfectly with this year’s Christmas beer from Møns Bryghus.

We will, of course, spread the Christmas mood with the Christmas music classics all day long – and song lyrics will, moreover, be handed out so everyone can sing along on familiar Christmas songs before we switch on the Christmas tree.

The event is free and does not need registration. We serve delights and gløgg as long as we have something in stock – so please indicate your participation or interest on our Facebook event so that we know how many visitors we can look forward to welcoming and cooking for.

If you want to skip cooking and enjoy your (possibly) first Christmas lunch, you can stay after the event and enjoy a 10-course X-Trip in Mission for only DKK 250 or a Christmas-inspired 3-course menu in Almanak for DKK 350.

There is a limited number of seats available, so book a table now at Almanak or Mission.

NOTE: Remember to write “juletræstænding” in the reservation if you want one of above-mentioned offers.
